The mermaid tail to make swimming fun

Summary

A mermaid tail is one way to make swimming more fun. I think we’ve all had mermaid dreams at some point in our lives where we swim in the ocean with our own mermaid tail. We can make that dream come true in the pool with our mermaid gear.

Swimmable Mermaid Tail for Fun!

You know the value of a pool – whether it’s in your backyard, your community pool, or your local public pool! Adding your own mermaid tail can turn that pool experience from a fun hobby into *The Little Mermaid*… just like the childhood movie we all loved!

A swimmable mermaid tail is a fabric tail containing a single fin that you can wear as your mermaid tail skin to swim.

Mermaid Tail Even for Adults

Our experience as adults has been positive. In fact, the most important thing for girls is to realize their dream and become a mermaid.

Try it out! You’ll tell us! These mermaid tails are very popular in France. Become professional mermaids of the underwater world, and start swimming like a mermaid.

Swimming Safety with a Mermaid Tail

Let’s start with the most obvious thing most moms say when they see mermaid tails for the first time… they look super dangerous! In fact, some public pools have banned their use.

Our Mermaid Tail Swimming Experience

I admit I was nervous about letting the kids swim in a mermaid tail. Just looking at the design of the swimmable mermaid tail and thinking about the feet stuck together with a single fin and the legs held together by a fabric tail made me worry about their safety in the water. The tail seemed to make swimming harder.

But the children’s mermaid swimming experience was very different from what I feared. Swimming in their own mermaid tail was instinctive. In just a few strokes, they played, swam, and lived their best mermaid life in unison.

Getting Started with the Mermaid Tail

I recommend making sure that children attempting to swim with a mermaid tail are confident swimmers and are supervised at all times.

It is recommended that children be at least 5 years old and be able to meet the following skill checklist:

  • Float on their back
  • Float on their stomach
  • Roll from front float to back float
  • Walk in the water for 1 minute
  • Swim independently for 25 meters
  • Swim 25 meters independently with dolphin kicks

There are mermaid tails for children and adults of all ages:

Safety Features Built into the Mermaid Tail

What to look for in a premium swim mermaid tail:

  • To quickly disengage the single fin and allow the legs to move independently, when using the mermaid tail, you can press one foot while pulling on the other, then repeat on the other side, which frees your feet, then you can cut the fabric of the mermaid tail.
  • The mermaid tail has an opening at the base of the single fin that forces air through and never creates an airbag.

Swimmable Mermaid Tails Can Make Excellent Swimmers

When used safely and consistently, children can improve their swimming skills and confidence. Another benefit is that they can swim twice as fast with their mermaid tails.

By swimming with their tail, your child can interact with their alter ego. They become mermaids!

Mermaid Tail Care

Monofins and mermaid tails can be rinsed after use and hand washed if necessary. Most high-quality mermaid tail skins are machine washable, which is important if you swim anywhere other than freshwater—the chlorine and salt must be washed out of the fabric to keep it usable for many summers.
